Job Description
POSITION:  CNC Technology/ Machine Tool Technology Instructor
Principal Assignment: North Metro Campus
 
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under supervision of the Associate Dean of Technical Studies & Engineering Technology and the Dean of Business and Technical Studies, the instructor will be responsible for providing guidance and instruction necessary to prepare students with the technical competencies essential as a CNC Technician. The instructor will perform all aspects of instruction for the CNC Technology diploma/degree program. Duties include:  lecture, lab, instructional activities, student advisement, evaluating students’ progress, maintaining all required documentation, performs, and/or supervises lab set up/take down and ensures lab safety requirements and other duties as defined by The Technical College System of Georgia. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Educational Level: This position requires a minimum of a diploma in CNC OR Machining OR Machine Tool Technology OR in a related field from a Technical or Community College.
  • Industry experience in the machining field working with conventional machining and CNC operations.
  • CAD/Blue Print Reading experience
 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (In addition to the minimum qualifications): 
  • A preference is given to applicants having an Associate degree, three or more years of industry experience.
  • CMM experience
  • CAD, MasterCam OR Solidworks experience
  • Teaching Experience
SALARY/BENEFITS:  Salary - $52,500.00 annually.  Benefits include: paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.
