DESCRIPTION:A Stitch in Time Quilting Workshop\n\nFebruary 20th from 9:00 a.m.   12:30 p.m.\n\nRegistration Now Open!\n\n\n\nJoin the Bartow History Museum and the Etowah Valley Quilt Guild (EVQG) for an exploration of quilting. We will kick off our event with a lecture on American quilting history from quilter Shelby Morris. Then\, each guest will participate in one of two quilting workshops: one designed for experienced quilters and another for beginners (first-timers welcome).\n\n\n\nParticipants will gain basic or broadened quilting skills and will practice level-appropriate hand stitching and quilting techniques under the instruction of EVQG quilters. Fabric and other materials will be provided by the museum and event sponsor Red Hen Fabrics of Marietta.\n\n\n\nThe registration fee is $35 and preregistration is required. Artifacts\, photographs\, documents\, and a variety of interactive permanent exhibits tell the story of settlement\, Cherokee life and removal\, Civil War strife\, and lifestyles of years past. The Bartow History Museum also provides a variety of educational opportunities for adults\, children\, families\, and school groups. Our extensive archives and research library contains photographs\, documents\, newspapers\, rare books\, genealogy records\, oral history interviews\, and more.
