SUMMARY:Aerospace Explorers Camp (for rising 3rd-6th graders)
DESCRIPTION:During this week-long summer camp\, Aerospace Explorers will begin with an investigation of the lithosphere\, on which we stand\, and then reach out into deep space. Students will study how the three types of rocks are formed and what causes changes in land masses on the surface of Earth.\n\n\n\nWe will discover the atmospheric conditions that change the shape of land forms\, and thus we will explore the different properties of the atmosphere and how they influence the planet and our daily lives. In our investigation\, we will learn about and make some of the instruments that meteorologists use to measure the properties of the atmosphere. We will discover how lightning is formed and how we can hear the thunder that it produces. The analysis of light and sound will be investigated using a variety of tools.\n\n\n\nLastly\, as we continue to get higher into the sky\, we will investigate our celestial neighbors: Moon\, Sun\, planets\, stars and galaxies. We will take this journey together from the land into deep space\, so let's hold fast and be ready for fun\, surprises\, learning\, and excitement!
