DESCRIPTION:"After Death\, the Rite of Burial"\n\n\n\nThe Bartow History Museum welcomes Leann Papp to its Evening Lecture series on August 25th at 7 p.m. Papp will discuss the stages of dying as identified by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross\, religious perspectives on mourning and memorial events\, transitional rituals\, and funeral customs and superstitions. A time for questions will follow her presentation.\n\n\n\nPapp is a volunteer at both the Bartow History Museum and the Tellus Science Museum. She served as the Program Director for Respiratory Care Technology at Coosa Valley Technical College in Rome\, Georgia and as the Director of Clinical Education for Respiratory Therapy Technology at Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock\, Arkansas. She began her career as a Respiratory Therapist working in facilities across the south east and in Ohio. Leann Papp enjoys reading\, gardening\, crocheting\, and searching Genealogy sites for family ancestors. In addition\, she and her husband enjoy showing antique cars several times a year.\n\n\n\nThe lecture is free to museum members and included with the price of admission for not-yet-members.
