DESCRIPTION:You Won't Believe What We've Been Collecting\n\nDonors Contribute to Collection\n\n\n\nJoin us at the Bartow History Museum on September 28th at 7 p.m. as Bartow History Museum Collections Staff\, Tina Shadden and Sandy Moore\, highlight some of the treasures that have been added recently to the museum's collection. Included is a Daguerrotype camera from the mid-1800s\, a 1904 certificate of allotment from the Cherokee land office\, and yes\, even a Kenner Easy-Bake Oven dating from the 60s. According to Trey Gaines\, Director of the Museum\, "This is a wonderful opportunity to get to showcase these donated items that are part of the collection\, but are not part of the permanent exhibits." In addition\, the speakers will give you some tips for preserving your own keepsakes as well as share information on how to donate items to the museum. The lecture is free for members and included in the price of admission to the museum for non-members.\n\n\n\nAbout Bartow History Museum\n\nThe Bartow History Museum\, located at 4 East Church Street in downtown Cartersville\, Georgia\, documents the history of northwest Georgia's Bartow County\, spanning more than 200 years since the Cherokee were the area's primary residents.
