Click here for more information.\n\n\n\n"The Lorax" Movie Event\n\n\n\nSunday\, March 29\, 2020\, 7:30 PM\n\nReinhardt University - Falany Performing Arts Center\n\n7300 Reinhardt Circle\, Waleska\, Georgia 30183\n\n\n\n"The Lorax\," the movie adaptation of Dr. Seuss' classic story of a town with no trees\, will be featured at the Falany Performing Arts Center on March 29 at 2 p.m. \n\n\n\nIn the 2012 animated movie\, 12-year-old Ted lives in a place virtually devoid of nature   no flowers or trees grow in the town of Thneedville.  Ted would very much like to win the heart of Audrey\, the girl of his dreams\, but to do this\, he must find that which she most desires: a Truffula tree.  To get it\, Ted delves into the story of the Lorax\, once the gruff guardian of the forest\, and the Once-ler\, who let greed overtake his respect for nature.   \n\n\n\n"'The Lorax'  has always been one of my favorite stories from Dr. Seuss\," said Jessica Akers\, director of the Falany Performing Arts Center. "We want to encourage our young audience to give back to the environment and help protect our native trees.  We hope to offer a fun afternoon and a take home experience for children to plant their own tree."\n\n\n\nAfter the movie\, children will be able to participate in crafts\, enjoy snacks and pick out their very own Dogwood tree sapling. \n\n\n\nTickets cost $10 for adults\, $5 for seniors and children (12 and younger). Tickets can be purchased at Reinhardt.edu/falany or by calling the box office at 770-720-9167.
