DESCRIPTION:Michael Schwartz: Cycling for Warriors An Epic Ride Across America For Vets!\n\n \n\nThree years ago Senior Chief Schwartz was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.  Determined not to let diabetes control his life\, he started an exercise routine and modified his eating habits.  Michael lost 50 pounds over the next year and began riding a bicycle as part of his exercise regimen.  Cycling became a habit and then an obsession as Michael competed in multiple Duathlons and a Triathlon.  One afternoon while riding Michael decided it was time to put his love for cycling to a more productive use and he created "Cycling For Warriors" and the "Epic Ride Across America"! www.cyclingforwarriors.org\n\n \n\nHis cross country journey will begin September 1\, 2013 beginning on the east coast.  The Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce along with our community wants to support him and cheer him on as he travels through Cartersville where he calls home on October 15\, 2013.  \n\n\n\nFor more information on this event please contact the Chamber at 770-382-1466.
