SUMMARY:Downtown Cartersville 5K Run Supporting Backpack Buddies
DESCRIPTION:Calling all 5K Runners for the First Annual Downtown Cartersville 5K Road Race to benefit Backpack Buddies sponsored by The Cartersville Downtown Development Authority\, Anytime Fitness of Cartersville\, & Modern Woodmen Financial\, Garth Gherardini.  The 5K race will start / finish in Downtown Cartersville\, with a fast route encircling downtown and surrounding neighborhoods!  Please plan to "hang around" afterwards for age group awards presentations\, while you enjoy vendor tents\, LIVE music\, and even a craft beer tasting.  An awesome way to start your weekend!  \n\nEvent details and schedule\n\nThe 5K will begin @ 8:00 AM.  Pre-race registration ($25) will run until mid-night August 24th (Be sure to pre-register in order to guarantee your T-Shirt size!)  Pre-race packet pick-up on Friday August 25th will be from 10:00 AM   4:00 PM at the Cartersville Downtown Development Authority\, located at 1 Friendship Plaza\, in downtown Cartersville next to the railroad tracks.  Race-Day Registration ($35) will open at 7:00 AM day of. \n\nStart / Finish line are in separate locations.  The starting Line (including event parking and race day registration) will be located in the large parking lot between The Bartow County Courthouse and Sam Jones Methodist Church\, located at 135 West Cherokee Ave. in downtown Cartersville.  (NOTE: This location is approximately one block from the downtown finish line location.). Race day registration will also be located in this same parking lot.
