Jones will conclude with a comparison to Hopewell Furnace\, an intact iron foundry town in Pennsylvania that still exists today.\n\n\n\nAbout Robert C. Jones\n\nRobert C. Jones served for many years as President of the Kennesaw Historical Society and as a member of the executive board of the Kennesaw Museum Foundation\, which played a key role in funding the 50\,000-square-foot Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History. A prolific historian and writer\, he has authored more than 50 books on subjects including the Civil War\, Revolutionary War\, World Wars I and II\, the War of 1812\, and ghost towns across America. In 2018\, he was honored by the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution with their award for Women in American History.
