DESCRIPTION:IT'S TIME TO TAKE A "FROZEN" PLUNGE TO BENEFIT ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN\n\n \n\nCARTERSVILLE\, GA-JANUARY 11\, 2015: Get ready to take a "Polar Plunge" to help children in need! Join Advocates for Children on Saturday\, February 7\, 2015\, 10:00 am at Dellinger Park to brave the chilly waters for a worthy cause. \n\n \n\nThe Polar Plunge is a winter time fundraiser organized to benefit Advocates for Children. Those brave enough to endure the frigid waters are encouraged to come up with a creative costume\, add some great theme music and take a plunge into the waters of Dellinger Park pool.  \n\n \n\nThis year's theme is "Frozen"\, a very fitting title for the event and to go along with the extremely popular Disney movie\, Frozen. We have one set of "Anna and Elsa's"\, but we would love to see more as well as other movie characters or any other costume that is a favorite of the jumpers. In the past we have had Cleopatra\, Superman\, a Samurai Warrior\, turkeys\, football players\, penguins\, mermaids just to name a few. We can't wait to see what and who shows up this year!\n\n \n\nIt's all for a great cause. Each jump will help raise money for children and families that need the services provided by Advocates for Children. Eight programs make up the Advocates name and all services are provided to 2600 children and families each year free of charge thanks to community support of fun events like the Polar Plunge.\n\n \n\nParticipants\, supporters and sponsors make this event a success. For those who would like to support the event through sponsorship\, there are three different levels: Elsa sponsorship $1\,000\, Anna sponsorship $500 and Olaf sponsorship $250.  Each level provides the sponsor with a lengthy list of marketing and advertising benefits. \n\n \n\nJumpers may pre-register by completing an application available online at www.AdvoChild.org or by coming to the Advocates administrative office\, located at 49 Monroe Crossing\, Cartersville\, Georgia.  View the registration form or the sponsorship form .\n\n \n\nDay of registration will begin at 9:30 am along with Chick-fil-A breakfast and pictures with the popular "Olaf".  Jumps will begin at 10:00 am\, each jump will be judged by a celebrity panel of judges. Prizes will be given for best jump\, best costume and most money raised. Some of the prizes include $100.00 of frozen food from Publix of Cartersville\, a Kindle fire HD7 and much\, much more.\n\n \n\nAfter being "frozen" for just a few minutes\, each jumper will receive a very warm Polar Plunge beach towel and all the hot chocolate they can drink.\n\n \n\nCurrent sponsors include Georgia Power-Plant Bowen and Liberty Steel at the Elsa level\, Hearth Industrial Services and Vulcan Industrial Contractors at the Anna level.
