DESCRIPTION:With over 1\,800 fossil species found in the fossil record of Georgia\, the animals and plants that have lived in Georgia over millions of years tell many stories. Fossils held at Tellus and other museums aid in describing the state's ancient past. Curator Ryan Roney will share some of these stories and describe his field and research efforts of other researchers and collectors seeking to uncover the fossil history of our state. The Lunch + Learn lecture begins at 12:15 PM. No outside food is allowed but you are welcome to buy lunch in the Caf  and bring it into the lecture\, or just come hear the lecture. All Lunch + Learns are FREE for members and included in regular admission for non-members. Presentations are recommended for ages 8 and up\, unless otherwise indicated. From fossils to stars\, Lunch and Learn features a wide variety of topics. If you can't make it in person\, be sure to check out the live stream on Facebook LIVE and YouTube Live.
