DESCRIPTION:Treat Mom (or yourself!) to a delightful morning at the Bartow History Museum with local author Valerie Holt leading a special Mother's Day Tea. This two-hour session combines charm and learning as Valerie shares the traditions\, etiquette\, and secrets of hosting a perfect tea party. Guests will enjoy a beautiful tea service featuring a variety of teas\, classic sandwiches\, scones\, and sweet treats   all while picking up tips to create their own elegant tea gatherings at home. This event is open to all ages and makes a wonderful way to spend quality time with mothers\, daughters\, friends\, or family. Space is limited\, so advance registration is required.\n\n\n\nAbout the Speaker\n\nDr. Valerie Holt is a Cartersville native with a lifelong passion for education and food. She spent 30 years teaching public school\, including 17 years in Home Economics\, and competed in national cooking competitions such as the Pillsbury Bake-Off\, National Cornbread Cook-Off\, and National Beef Cook-Off. She has authored two cookbooks and now serves as a professor in the School of Education at Berry College\, teaching graduate-level courses for future educators.
