DESCRIPTION:Cadettes & Senior Girls: Night Sky\n\n\n\nSaturday\, September 9\, 2023\n\n10 AM to 12:30 PM (check-in begins at 9:30)\n\n\n\nRegistration for this program closes at noon on Wednesday\, September 6\, 2023 or when the program reaches maximum capacity.\n\n\n\nCome experience the stars of Tellus Science Museum! During the Night Sky program\, Cadettes will work toward the requirements of the Night Owl badge\, while Senior girls will do activities for the Sky badge. While at Tellus\, girls will tour the night sky in the planetarium and investigate eclipses\, seasons and seasonal constellations. Scouts will learn how to make and use a rotary star chart\, find the major constellations\, and find planet positions in the Tellus planetarium. Other activities will include learning how to tell time using the sky\, learning how to use a telescope and viewing sunspots (weather permitting).
