DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Art Quilting\n\nSaturday\, June 22\, 2019   1:00   4:00 pm\n\nBartow County Library\, Cartersville\n\nInstructor: Teresa Cook\n\nClass fee: $10.00\n\nPre-registration required\, limit 12\n\nLearn how to create a free form style of art quilting with fabric and artistic embellishments   no sewing in this class! \n\nWorkshop kit provides fabric for Terence\, the sea turtle\, and the sea floor\; freezer paper and fusible web\; plus an original design pattern.\n\nExperience working with fabric (quilting/sewing) and some art knowledge is required.\n\nSupplies that you should bring:\n\nFabric (Batiks preferred or solids):\n\n\n	One fat quarter for ocean background (water)\, not too dark\n	10"x10" yellow or gold fabric for seahorse family\n	4"x4" tan for starfish\n	2  " strip of green   width of fabric\n	3 or 4 pieces of tan scraps for seashells\, at least 3"x3"\n	One scrap piece of muslin\, fat quarter size\, to cover your design before pressing\n\n\nTools:\n\n\n	Sharp pencil or two\n	Non-permanent marking tools\n	Pins\n	Basting glue (NOT permanent!)\n	Masking tape\n	Scissors   one for fabric only\; one with sharp pointed tip that can cut fabric with paper\n	For adding details   colored pencils\, crayons\, paint pens (but NO actual fabric paint!)
