As running afoul of wage and hour regulations can be very costly\, even for those employers with the best intentions\, employers must ensure that their wage and hour policies and procedures are compliant with the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act as well as state wage/hour statutes.\n\n\n\nDuring this seminar we will discuss some of the common mistakes employers make in paying their employees including:\n\n\n	The misclassification of an individual as an exempt employee\n	Taking improper deductions from an exempt employee's salary\n	Failing to pay hourly employees for all hours worked\n	Reducing the hourly wage of hourly employees to below minimum wage\n	Failing to implement a comprehensive Wage and Hour Policy\n\n\n\nPlease register online prior to the event. Cash is an associate in the Labor and Employment Law Section of Freeman Mathis & Gary\, LLP. Ms. Cash represents public and private sector employers in all aspects of employment litigation\, including employment discrimination claims\, wage and hour claims\, and restrictive covenant litigation.  Ms. Cash also advises employers on general employment matters\, such as employment agreements\, restrictive covenants\, and arbitration agreements.\n\n\n\nMs. Cash received her J.D.\, magna cum laude\, from the University of Georgia School of Law\, where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif.  While in law school\, Ms. Cash served as an articles editor for the Georgia Law Review and interned for the Honorable Timothy C. Batten in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.  Ms. Cash earned her undergraduate degree in public policy\, with highest honors\, from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Freeman\, Mathis & Gary\, Ms. Cash served as a law clerk to the Honorable J. Randal Hall of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia.
