SUMMARY:Stellar Astronomy Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to observe the planets\, stars\, and constellations. Get to know the evening sky in the Bentley Planetarium\, use the Magic Planet to explore the surface of the Moon\, Mars\, Venus\, and Jupiter\, and observe the night sky with small\, portable telescopes and through our 20? reflecting telescope in the Observatory. Everyone will receive a rotary star chart with hands-on instructions on how to use it. This workshop will happen rain or shine. In case of inclement weather\, the Observatory will be limited to tours only. The Observatory is not heated or air-conditioned\, so please dress accordingly. Limited space available. Prepaid reservations required. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Reservations close at noon the day before the workshop. Cancellation policy: 48 hours before for full refund. For ages 8+\, no exceptions. Reservations close at noon on Wednesday\, November 7\, 2018.
