Moore\, curator of Collections at the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville\, TN\, for a special program highlighting the Tatra company\, their design changes through the years\, and the vehicles on loan for the Streamlined Elegance   The Tatra Tale exhibit.\n\n\n\nLocated in Czechoslovakia near the Tatra Mountains\, Tatra produced its first automobile in 1897. Due to its geographical location\, the company was uninfluenced by other automobile manufacturers\, however\, this was not a handicap. Primarily\, under the guidance of their chief engineer Hans Ledwinka\, the company reached highly sophisticated levels in aerodynamic design and engineering.
