Join us on September 29 as the Bartow History Museum opens a new feature exhibit called A River Runs Through It: The History of the Etowah River and Allatoona Dam, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the dedication of Allatoona Dam. We invite you to come view a collection of photographs, documents, and objects pertaining to this structure that forever changed the landscape of Bartow County. In addition to the exhibit opening, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Lead Ranger at Allatoona Lake, Christopher Purvis, will be giving special insight on the history of the dam and the activities of the Corps of Engineers.
