Barry Wright, Author of John Paul Cooper: Georgia Giant in the Revival of Cotton During the Early 1900s, to Speak at Bartow History Museum
On Wednesday, March 21st, at 12 p.m., the Bartow History Museum welcomes Author Barry Wright, who will discuss his new book, John Paul Cooper: Georgia Giant in the Revival of Cotton During the Early 1900s. The book is based on family letters, photos, and historical accounts of the grandson of Mark Anthony Cooper. Attendees will hear about the Cartersville ladies who brought the Friendship Monument to town and how a Massachusetts cotton mill came to Georgia. About the Speaker
Barry Wright was born in Rome, GA and is a graduate of Darlington School and Vanderbilt University. He is a retired banker and history enthusiast. Wright is married and has one daughter.
