Cartersville High School is recruiting professionals who are willing to give their time to prepare our students for the future by participating in the Senior Mock Interview Event on March 25. 

Mock Interview Event Information
Goal: Every Senior graduates with an interview experience as part of Canes Navigation
Date: March 25th from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM- All day is preferred with lunch provided, but morning and afternoon shifts are available as well
Total Interview Spots Needed: 27-30 Interviewers 
Ideal Interviewer: Will have some experience with hiring and/or interviewing or management/coaching, outgoing, unafraid to provide constructive feedback to students verbally, flexible, and not easily charmed by our wonderful students- it’s okay to be a tough interviewer!

Deadline: Need Interviewers by March 10th in order to give students time to adjust their schedules.

Additional Information
Total Interview Time Allotment: 30 Minutes 
Format allows enrichment and time for verbal feedback and student interaction.  

• 5 Min – Greeting, Introduction, Initial questions- Observe handshakes and professional dress 
• 12 Min- General Interview questions, behavioral-skills based-situational, questions based off application & resume of student 
• 5 Min- Closing/Feedback on Interview Skills, Resume, Application
• 5 Min- Fill out Rubric Online/ Pick up next applicant 

Location: All interviews will be taking place in the storm center, each interviewer will have a table set up around the track. The lobby will serve as a holding area for the next round.
Technology: An online rubric has been created to reduce paper on the front end and help with organizing – all responses will be typed into a form; Laptop will be provided with access to our network.
Time Frame: Arrive by 8AM; Hoping to have enough volunteers to have the last interview end by 3:30 or earlier.
Food: Lunch is provided to those who can serve all day.
 
Note: We are making the mock interview part of the student’s grade, however, please remember that when planning things for high school students we can’t control those who decide to forfeit that grade and therefore may be a no show.
