Discover the history and initiatives led by the Emancipation Proclamation Committee of Bartow County with Ken Reaves, Campus Dean at Georgia Highlands College in Douglasville. Mr. Reaves, whose career journey commenced at Temple-Inland, Inc. for six years before relocating to Rome, Georgia, will guide you through an evening discussion. Over the past 12 years, Mr. Reaves has played a pivotal role at Georgia Highlands College, starting in human resources. In 2001, he embarked on a new chapter at the Floyd campus, and witnessing the college’s expansion into Douglasville and Paulding County four years ago prompted a significant career reassessment. Transitioning from human resources to the role of dean, he believes in the transformative power of challenges for personal growth.
