Instructor: Emily Gail Wyett Every wondered what it is like to make a hand-hooked rug? In this hands-on introduction workshop, all necessary supplies will be available for you to try, so you can get the feel of what rug hooking is like. You will have the opportunity to try different frames that hold the background fabric, plus hooks and wool so you can see if you would enjoy hooking before you purchase any supplies. We will also cover making strips from wool fabric and how to dye wool at home, plus answers for any questions you may have about this interesting art. Paper and pen for note-taking are the only things you need to bring! Class fee is $10; space is limited, advanced registration required.
