Job Description

Americo Manufacturing Company Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Director of Marketing.  The Director of Marketing position develops annual marketing plans in collaboration upper management and is responsible for executing goals throughout the year in accordance with the company's overall objectives.  The position is responsible for preparing an annual budget; analyzing variances, negotiating with media and initiating corrective actions as needed. They are responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the company's image and position within the marketplace.  This position must accomplish media interest in the organization and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to their requests. This includes but not limited to the development of newsletters, interviews, product articles, and press releases. 

They must oversee the creative development and copy of support tools such as literature, trade ads, sales presentations, as well as video productions.  This position will also manage the company's presence at trade shows and special events.  They must direct the company's digital footprint, and have a good working knowledge of social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube etc.).  Technical requirements include a working knowledge of standard software programs such as MS Office, Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop, web design and cloud applications, such as Mail Chimp, SurveyMonkey, etc.  

 In addition to being creative and enthusiastic, candidate must possess strong communication skills both written and verbal.  To be successful in this position the right candidate would possess the ability to lead by example, maintain marketing staff by training, monitoring and further developing employees in their roles.  The company is looking for a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to relationship-building, both internally and externally, with the ability to recognize and develop talent and to empower employees in order for them to reach their individual maximum potential.  The candidate should also possess excellent organization and project management skills, be detail oriented, self-motivated, trustworthy and highly ethical.  Minimum of 5 years' experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success is required, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
