Description
Help us celebrate World Ocean Day 2022 with fun-filled afternoon at the Cartersville Library! We'll have an ocean-themed craft and fascinating speakers for all ages. Cruise by our Junior Oceanographer's Table to check out STEM demos: Ocean Waves, Layers of the Ocean, and Jellyfish in a Bottle.
- 1pm - The Secret Life of Ocean Critters: Join Dr. Adam Greer of UGA's Skidaway Institute of Oceanography for a fascinating presentation on how we use technology to understand the world of small ocean animals!
- 2pm - From Casual Observation to Active Participation: Georgia Scuba’s Divemaster, Andrew Hobson, demystifies recreational scuba diving for you and family members of all ages.
- 3pm - Kids (and kids at heart) can join staff to create a cool whale craft!
