Join Civil War historian and author Michael K. Shaffer as he discusses the first scholarly edition of Colley's writings, In Memory of Self and Comrades. Thomas W. Colley served in one of the most active and famous units of the Civil War, the 1st Virginia Calvary. Shaffer will provide context to Colley's writings on his condition and the condition of other veterans dealing with amputations. Books are available for purchase and signing at the Booth Museum's Gift Shop.
Lunch includes - Spiral sliced ham, sweet potato casserole, green beans, pineapple upside down cake and tea/water for $10.00 plus tax. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early. Program included with admission.
