Calling all North GA Runners….Do you hear the whistle blowing? It’s coming down the tracks, and you can’t stop it! So jump on board and JOIN US! “The 2nd Annual Great Locomotive Chase 5K” Presented by The City of Adairsville! Saturday morning – April 12, 2025 – 8:00 AM Race Start! Enjoy this one-of-a-kind route that winds through and around lovely downtown Adairsville, GA, and Follows the Tracks where the actual Chase took place!!! The 5K start and finish are adjacent to the historic Downtown Adairsville Train Depot, where the Great Locomotive Chase passed through on April 12th, 1862!! EXACTLY 163 Years ago on RACE DAY!
