Suitable for all ages. New this year will be JEEP FLEXING – you won’t want to miss these demonstrations! It’s time again for steel, wheels, and big machines at Tellus during Heavy Metal in Motion. This popular family event brings a wide variety of vehicles that cruise into, land on, and fly over the Museum grounds. You can expect helicopters, fire engines, heavy machinery, military vehicles, vintage cars, and more! In most cases, kids of all ages are encouraged to climb into or on these machines. Heavy Metal in Motion has something for everyone – big machines, educational kid’s activities, train rides, bounce houses, photo ops, a sale in the Store, and a special cookout-style menu in our outdoor Café. HELICOPTER LANDINGS 10:30 + 11 AM HELICOPTER TAKEOFFS 3:30 + 4 PM NOTE: Vehicle lineup subject to change without notice. FAIR WARNING! It’s going to get loud and noisy as cars and trucks crank their motors, fire engines sound their horns, and helicopters come and go.
