Description
The volunteer cleanup day at Black Pioneer Cemetery, which was originally scheduled for Monday, January 20, has been postponed due to damage from the recent storm.

The City of Euharlee is holding a service day with the Citizens of Georgia Power at Plant Bowen in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. The group will clean up the Black Pioneer Cemetery, a one-acre cemetery with over 300 graves. Many of the people buried there were enslaved. We will be clearing fallen leaves and branches. Please were sturdy shoes or boots, gloves and eye protection, if possible. Also, volunteers are encouraged to bring rakes, clippers, or other hand tools. Refreshments will be provided.
