Join us in the Tellus Theater for a live web cast as we meet Dr. Mike Vecchione, a NOAA zoologist at the National Museum of Natural History. Learn about octopods and squids, members of the remarkable group called “cephalopods.” Marvel at how they have no backbones, yet boast camera-like eyes and super camouflage capabilities. Find out how Mike uses technologies, including telepresence and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), to study cephalopods in the deepest ocean.
