Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Support Representative to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer support by handling inquiries, processing orders, and resolving issues efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of manufacturing processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding orders, product inquiries, and service requests.
- Respond to customer emails, phone calls, and chats in a professional and timely manner.
- Address customer complaints and escalate issues as needed to the appropriate department.
Order Processing & Management:
- Process customer orders, confirm order details, and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Track shipments and provide customers with delivery updates.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate order execution.
Product Knowledge & Technical Support:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s products, specifications, and applications.
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate products and resolving basic technical issues.
Account Management & Relationship Building:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster long-term business partnerships.
- Follow up on customer feedback to enhance service quality and customer experience.
Data Entry & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate customer records, including order history and communications.
- Generate reports on customer interactions, order status, and service metrics.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with sales, production, and quality control teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Assist in resolving production or delivery issues that impact customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP/CRM systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Knowledge of supply chain, logistics, or production processes is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Office-based role with occasional interaction with production teams and warehouse staff.
- May require occasional travel to client locations or manufacturing sites.
