We are looking for EXPERIENCED FOOD STAFF members to join our rapidly growing HoneyBaked Ham & Café lunch and catering business in Cartersville, Georgia. 

When? PART-TIME MORNING shifts and PART-TIME AFTERNOON shifts available.

Qualification Requirements

  • Friendly, personable, and enjoys working with others. 

  • Must provide references for at least TWO full years of prior food-service experience. 

  • High school diploma required.

  • All applicants must pass a background check and have no disqualifying criminal convictions. 

  • Applicants must have a clean, reliable, and insured vehicle suitable for catering delivery. Vehicle should be free from smoke, odors, and pet hair to maintain HoneyBaked’s quality standards. Proof of valid driver’s license, clean driving record and auto insurance.

  • Must be willing to work longer hours during the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. 

  • Dependable and punctual.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance: clean attire, good hygiene, well-groomed hair, and a polished presentation that reflects our family-friendly brand. Visible body/face piercings and visible tattoos do not meet the HoneyBaked Brand Standard.  

  • Can complete check-off lists independently, capable of following verbal instructions, and can take initiative when necessary.

Food Preparation Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Strong attention to food safety and cleanliness. ServSafe Certification a plus. Must be extremely organized, neat, detail oriented and can work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have basic knife skills for portioning hams, turkeys, fruit and vegetables. 

  • Must be able to quickly learn and correctly prepare sandwiches and salads for café and catering customers. 

  • Must be willing to assist in the glazing area and in the production of deli meats for lunch and retail sales. 

Catering Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Must be outgoing and friendly in order to handle phone prospecting for catering. 

  • Must be able to prepare catering orders with accuracy and speed. 

  • Must have a Smartphone for GPS directions and 3rd party tracking for catering deliveries. 

Cleaning Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Able to lift, bend, and handle very physically demanding cleaning and moving tasks.

  • Examples: Sanitize worktables and scales regularly. Wash dishes, trays, pans, utensils, glazing equipment. Keep kitchen equipment organized and tidy. Clean glazing and production areas (using hoses, scrapers, mops, brooms). Remove heavy trash bags and break down cardboard boxes. Clean bathrooms, clean kitchen floors, and café areas by sweeping and mopping. Vacuum mats. Clean cooler shelves, walls, floors, windows. Windex doors and glass surfaces. Keep exterior areas free from litter (blower). Dust merchandise areas. 

Store Operations & Support Tasks

  • Learn and operate POS register system. Prepare/break down drink station, maintain temperature logs for coolers/freezers, tract inventory, restock retail coolers/freezers. Move heavy quantities of retail products during holiday sales. Sanitize café counters, tables, and chairs. Work directly with customers by taking sandwich orders and selling retail products.
