Hours: Monday-Friday (40 Hours Minimum)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Environmental Health and Safety Manager to ensure the consistent quality and safety of our fragrance oil products, along with developing, implementing, and overseeing programs that protect employees from workplace hazards and minimize the organization's environmental impact.
This role is critical in maintaining our brand’s reputation for excellence and compliance with industry standards. And bridges the gap between regulatory compliance and operational performance, increasingly focusing on sustainability and digital safety management.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety & Compliance Leadership: Foster a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Team Development & Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to achieve quality and operational goals.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Monitor industry sales trends, implement best proactive peak season practices, and leverage FW data analytics to assist in decision making.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the organization adheres to local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA (safety) and EPA (environmental) standards.
  • Risk Management: Conduct regular site inspections, hazard assessments (e.g., Job Hazard Analysis), and audits to identify and mitigate physical, chemical, and biological risks.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace accidents, near-misses, and illnesses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Training & Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors, covering topics like PPE use, emergency response, and hazardous material handling.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Manage waste disposal programs (hazardous and non-hazardous), monitor emissions, and support sustainability efforts like reducing the company's carbon footprint.
  • Emergency Planning: Create and maintain emergency response plans, including fire protection and first aid protocols, and conduct regular drills.
  • Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, such as OSHA 300 logs, and use EHS management software to track performance metrics and compliance deadlines.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Environmental Health and Safety manufacturing role, with a strong background in high-speed, high-volume production environments, preferably within a fragrance, cosmetic, or chemical manufacturing. Ideal candidates will have experience working with controlled or customized products, ensuring meticulous attention to detail in every batch.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Environmental Science, Business or related field preferred, but not required.
Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), or NEBOSH (Preferred).
Ability to use digital tools like EHS software (e.g., Intelex, VelocityEHS), mobile inspection apps, and data analytics dashboards.
Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and documentation abilities.
