Piedmont Cartersville to Offer Free Prostate Cancer Screenings on Sept. 19

Cartersville, Ga. (August 31, 2026) — Piedmont Cartersville will host a free prostate cancer screening event on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Lowe’s Home Improvement Store in Cartersville.
Prostate cancer screening has advanced significantly in recent years. Today, an initial screening may include a simple blood test known as a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test, which can help identify potential signs of prostate cancer at an early stage. The screening is quick and convenient, and participants will receive their results by mail.
This event reflects Piedmont Cartersville’s commitment to improving community health by increasing access to preventive services and encouraging early detection of disease.
Leading health organizations, including the American Cancer Society, the American Urological Association, and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, recommend that men discuss the potential benefits, risks, and limitations of prostate cancer screening with their healthcare provider.
