Job Summary
In support of the College's enrollment, retention and graduation objectives, this position manages the communications of the Athletics Department, as well as coordinates outreach and development events for the department and its student-athletes.
Responsibilities
• Directs all internal and external communications of the college's athletics department
• Manages the athletics department's website and multimedia services (Presto Sports,YouTube, social media, video, photos)
• Coordinates and organizes student-athlete services, including but not limited to orientations, awards banquet and serves as point of contact for their general college questions
• Advises coaches and student-athletes on GHC policies and national and conference policies
• Assists the Director of Athletics on fundraising and capital projects and developing sponsorship packets for corporate sponsors
• Coordinates outreach and events for Athletics Alumni and for the college and community
• Serves as an investigator for student-involved Title IX cases and delivers Title IX training to all student-athletes and coaches
• Serves as custodian of the Student-Athlete Handbook and the Policies & Procedures Manual
• Coordinates the Competitive Club Sports Program
• Coordinates programming for student-athlete and leadership development (personal and professional development, Champions of Character committee)
• Organizes game day personnel and operations for all GHC Athletics contests and manages interns and student workers for the events
• Maintains live and historical stats for GHC Athletics
• Manages the ticketing system for GHC Athletics
• Represents the college on nationally recognized boards and committees (NACDA, NAIA, NJCAA, N4A, etc)
• Submits purchase requisitions and holds purchasing card for the department
Required Qualifications
• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a Master's degree in a course of study related to the occupational field
• Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the subunits in the division/department in order to direct and coordinate work within the division/department, usually interpreted to require three to five years of related experience
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
Proposed Salary
$50,000 annually
