Class 8 Shop Manager

We are seeking an experienced Class 8 Shop Manager to lead our heavy-duty vehicle and equipment maintenance operations. In this role, you will oversee the daily functioning of the shop, coordinate daily repairs, and ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality.

Requirements

• Experience in heavy-duty truck and trailer maintenance, with prior supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and refrigerated trailer systems.
• Familiarity with DOT maintenance requirements and shop safety practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage repair schedules, maintenance records, parts inventory, and costs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop operations and lead the maintenance team.
• Schedule preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to keep equipment safe and dependable.
• Monitor repair quality, turnaround times, and maintenance expenses.
• Coordinate with drivers and operations to address equipment concerns and reduce downtime.
• Manage parts inventory, outside vendors, and accurate maintenance records.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and promote a culture of safety and teamwork.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
